Product care, storage & authenticity

How to keep a fragrance at its best, how long it lasts, and how to know that what you have is ours.

1 · Storing it

  • Away from light. Sunlight breaks down the aromatic compounds faster than anything else. Keep the bottle in its carton.
  • Cool and stable. Between 15°C and 25°C. A bathroom is the worst place in the house — heat and humidity both.
  • Upright, and closed. Keeps the atomiser tube primed and limits evaporation.
  • Do not decant into another bottle. Air and unfamiliar plastics change the composition.
  • Do not shake. It introduces air rather than mixing anything.

2 · How long it lasts

Unopened and properly stored, an eau de parfum typically keeps its character for three to five years. Once opened, it is best enjoyed within one to two years. Darkening colour or a sharp, sour top note means it has turned. That is natural ageing, not a defect — unless it happens within the periods in DUHA-POL-01.

3 · Wearing it

  • Apply to pulse points — wrists, base of the neck — from about 15 cm.
  • Do not rub your wrists together. It crushes the top notes.
  • Fragrance lasts longer on moisturised skin and on fabric than on dry skin.

4 · Safety

Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm and leave it 24 hours. Stop using it if you see redness or irritation. Keep away from eyes and broken skin. Flammable — keep away from flame and heat. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant or have sensitive skin, consult a doctor before use.

5 · Authenticity

Every genuine Duha product reaches you with its seal intact and consistent print quality on the label. We sell only through our online store at weareduha.com, our WhatsApp line and in person in Abu Dhabi. If you bought elsewhere and doubt what you have, send us photographs of the carton, the label and the bottle base and we will tell you honestly.

6 · Ingredients and allergens

If you have a known fragrance allergy or sensitivity, ask us before you buy and we will send you the product's full ingredient list.
